Bairrada Wine Region – Wine Museum and Aliança Underground Museum
Wine Museum - opened on September 27, 2003, in addition to the permanent exhibition "Wine Route", it features a component of temporary exhibitions. This cultural space also houses four permanent installations by sculptor Fernanda Fragateiro.
Aliança Underground Museum - Exhibition space, which takes place throughout the traditional cellars of Aliança Vinhos de Portugal. Comprising eight distinct collections, this museum focuses on areas such as archaeology, ethnography, mineralogy, paleontology, tiles and ceramics, covering an impressive time span of millions of years. It is the first underground museum in Portugal that combines art with wine.
There will be a Guided Tour to the Aliança Underground Museum, which will include the tasting of a Flûte of Aliança Sparkling Wine, accompanied by bread rolls stuffed with Suckling Pig.
Innovative practices in rice cultivation in the Baixo Mondego - José Jordão – Sociedade Agrícola, Lda. and Agroindustry Ernesto Morgado S.A.
As an integral part of the program of the XIII Iberian Congress of AgroEngineering, an exclusive technical visit will be carried out to the fields of Baixo Mondego, in particular to a rice farm and a rice agroindustry, a reference in the region, providing participants with a unique and enriching experience in the context of the rice production chain.
The activity aims to present the technologies applied to rice cultivation in Baixo Mondego, as well as the unique ecosystem that this crop promotes in the region. Furthermore, the aim is to demonstrate the functioning of a preparation structure for this prestigious product, which is Arroz Carolino do Baixo Mondego. Therefore, we will visit José Jordão – Agricultural Society, Lda.
The José Jordão rice farm – Sociedade Agrícola, Lda. In recent years, this company, led by a young farmer, Hugo Jordão, and his father, José Jordão, has invested heavily in increasing efficiency and productivity, and in technology and innovation. This is a company dedicated to excellent rice cultivation, combining innovation, sustainability and the pride of feeding generations with quality and responsibility.
In the same parish, we find Ernesto Morgado SA., founded in 1920, in the Mondego Valley. Recognized as the oldest rice industry in Portugal, the company combines tradition and innovation in the production of high-quality rice. With 100% national capital, management is currently in the hands of the third generation of the founding family, with the fourth generation already integrated into the company's staff. Ernesto Morgado owns the Pato Real brand, leader in the Carolina rice segment, especially with the Pato Real Malandrinho product, highly appreciated nationwide.

At the end of the visit there will be a tasting of traditional sweets based on regional rice.
